Scoring

If you ended on this post, this means that you are probably new to scoring. Scoring an arrow is pretty straight forward. Each section represent a number from 1 to 10 (see image 1 below). If the arrow is outside of the rings, then the arrow is a miss. It is marked as a 'M' on a scoresheet.


But what if the arrow crosses a line? Then, you get the higer score of the two. For example: if an arrow is on the line separating 6 and 7, you count it as a 7.

However, if it is not clear whether the line is touched or not, call a judge (during a competition) or a senior archer (during training times)! 😊


Lastly, when writing down your score, always start by the highest score, finishing by the lowest one (e.g. 7, 6, 3).
